Larger Confectionery Pavilion to make PACK EXPO Las Vegas Debut in 2011

Arlington, Va.; - After selling out the inaugural Confectionery Pavilion at PACK EXPO International 2010, show producer PMMI and the National Confectioners Association (NCA), are working together again to bring The Confectionery Pavilion to PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2011, on September 26-28 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Totaling over 15,000 square feet, the Confectionery Pavilion will once again host a range of packaging and processing solutions focused on the confectionery industry. The Pavilion will be located in the Upper South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

"PACK EXPO Pavilions are designed to help attendees quickly and easily find the suppliers that serve their industries, and the Confectionery Pavilion was one of our most successful endeavors at PACK EXPO International 2010," says Charles D. Yuska, president and CEO, PMMI. "This pavilion, and the support of NCA, were key factors in helping us deliver a successful show in 2010."

For over 120 years the NCA has represented the world's best known candy, chocolate and gum companies, and its members include the world's leading candy and confection brands including: Goetze's Candy Company, Jelly Belly Candy Company, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, MARS Chocolate North America, Kraft Foods, Russell Stover Candies, Inc., The Hershey Company, and Tootsie Roll Industries, Inc.

"Between packaging, which is our members' interface with the consumer, and the processing solutions that make our members' products possible, PACK EXPO is a phenomenal resource for the confectionery industry," says Ross Bainbridge of Bainbridge Associates, Chairman of NCA's Supplier Advisory Committee. "The Confectionery Pavilion connects our supplier members with their customers."

PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2011 will be held Sept. 26-28, 2011, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. PMMI expects more than 1,200 exhibitors and close to 600,000 net square feet of exhibiting space at the show, making PACK EXPO Las Vegas the largest packaging and processing event in the Western Hemisphere.

In addition to the return of the Confectionery Pavilion, the show will feature the first ever Pharmaceutical Pavilion, the Las Vegas debuts of the Processing Zone and the Reusable Packaging Association's (RPA) Reusable Packaging Pavilion, and the return of The Brand Zone to Las Vegas.
