National Fluid Power Association Names Eric Lanke as New Executive Director


Milwaukee, WI - The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) has named Eric Lanke as its new Executive Director, effective January 22, 2007. Recognized as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Lanke has over thirteen years of experience in association management, working with one of the top association management firms in the United States. In his most recent position, he was the Associate Executive Vice President of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, a 6,500 member association.

"I'm very excited about my new position with NFPA," Lanke said. "The association has enjoyed a lot of success in recent years, and I'm looking forward to contributing my own unique background and experience to help shape its future."

Lanke was selected following a nationwide search led by the Executive Committee of NFPA's Board of Directors. He succeeds Linda Western who is retiring February 28, 2007 after 17 years with NFPA, seven as Executive Director. Lanke, his wife Linda, their son Jackson, and daughter Quinn currently live in the Milwaukee area.

NFPA provides a forum for the fluid power industry's channel partners-manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, customers and educators. Its 310+ U.S. and multinational members work cooperatively in advancing hydraulic and pneumatic technology through the association's many programs and initiatives.
