Washington, D.C., – Today, the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) welcomed Teradata as an exclusive 2015 Manufacturing Partner. Through this partnership, Teradata will provide thought leadership programs at NAM regional and national events and connect with manufacturing executives to help companies find new insights from their data.

“Teradata’s engagement in this program is a reflection of their continued and exceptional commitment to the NAM and the company’s dedicated service to manufacturers across the country,” said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons. “We appreciate Teradata’s support and know that this expanded partnership will create incredible opportunities for manufacturers who will become more responsive to competitive dynamics due to Teradata’s expertise and world-class solutions in big data analytics.”

For more than a decade, Teradata has been an active member of the NAM with broad participation in advocacy efforts through the NAM’s task forces and policy committees on issues ranging from immigration, to tax reform, to intellectual property protection. In 2013, Teradata representatives served on the advisory committee for the launch of the NAM’s Driving the Agenda for Technology Advancement (D.A.T.A.) Policy Center, which educates policymakers and the public about the clear intersection of technology and manufacturing. Teradata Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing and Information Officer Robert Fair serves on the NAM Board of Directors, which provides direction to the association, giving voice to more than 14,000 member companies.

"We value our work and relationships with many NAM member companies, and we respect the NAM's many years of leadership as manufacturers' unified voice in the public arena," Fair said. "We are excited about our expanded role with the NAM and look forward to exploring new ways to propel data-driven manufacturing.”

Teradata has long been a trusted ally of manufacturers, providing big data analytic solutions, marketing applications and services. Through this partnership, Teradata and the NAM will enrich these relationships. The NAM will feature Teradata as one its exclusive “leadership sponsors” for the Spring 2015 Board of Directors meeting and a sponsor of this year’s Public Affairs Conference and Manufacturing Summit.
