Washington, D.C., – The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) announced today their new partnership to promote and strengthen opportunities for manufacturing innovation and trade growth between the United States and South Korea. The NAM, KCCI and members therein participated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at a US-Korea Business Innovation Partnership event in Washington, D.C.

“This partnership will provide an opportunity not only to advance commercial partnerships but also to learn a great deal from each other to advance manufacturing, productivity and innovation,” said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons. “It will help us promote a strengthened U.S.–Korean trade relationship that realizes more fully the opportunities of that relationship for the good of our countries and our industries as we continue to promote fairness and free enterprise.”

“When companies with abundant experiences and technology collaborate, we can realize innovation faster than anyone,” said KCCI Chairman Yongmaan Park. “Collaboration would serve as a cornerstone to sustain growth in the new normal era and to contribute to the global economy.”
