NACD Focuses on Core Values at 39th Annual Meeting



LA QUINTA, Calif. - Members of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) are meeting in La Quinta, CA this week for the Association's 39th Annual Meeting. NACD's Annual Meeting, the premier gathering of chemical distributor, manufacturer and industry partner company executives and their senior leadership will draw a near record of 600 attendees. The theme for the week focuses on three key pillars of NACD's strategic plan: Advocacy, Responsible Distribution, and Member Value.

Some session highlights of the Annual Meeting:

- Well-known political experts Pat Buchanan and Mark Shields will review
the recent mid-term elections from both sides of the aisle and offer
their thoughts on how this may impact the chemical distribution
industry.

- Alan Beaulieu of the Institute for Trend Research will address the
economy and markets: what is going on now and what will happen in the
future.

- Dr. Herb Greenberg and Patrick Sweeny of Caliper will speak about the
"The Psychology of the Sports Champion." They will use examples from
professional sports teams to illustrate what works and what doesn't in
hiring.

- Jay Rifenbary of Training & Development will talk about "No Excuse"
leadership. He will discuss how incorporating core values,
accountability, and balance into your life and career will keep company
leadership and employees focused.
