Ms. Mary Saunders, a Member of the Board of Directors

Ms. Mary Saunders, a member of the Board of Directors of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the chair of ANSI International Policy Committee (IPC), has been promoted to serve as deputy assistant secretary for Manufacturing and Services (MAS) in the International Trade Administration (ITA), U.S. Department of Commerce.

In her new position, she will manage the MAS' day-to-day operations; oversee the program planning and resource allocation process; and advise on program and policy issues.

Having worked for twenty-three years at the Department of Commerce, she has been serving most recently as chief of the Standards Services Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Ms. Saunders holds a master's degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
