MME Group Celebrates Manufacturing Month by Hosting a Tour for Local Area High School Students
St. Paul, MN - On Oct. 14, 2015, MME group hosted a tour and lunch for local high school students to celebrate Manufacturing Month. MME group actively participates in opportunities to support the community and manufacturing industry.
The student tour was a coordinated effort by MME group and the Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation (VHEDC). The VHEDC is a group of business leader who engage with community stakeholders to enhance the economic vitality of its community.
MME group hosted approximately 30 interested students from area high schools. The students were introduced to the world of manufacturing and learned about the variety of highly skilled manufacturing career opportunities. Manufacturing misconceptions were addressed and students were educated on the high paying jobs, degrees and extensive skills within the industry.
After a QA session, MME group provided lunch to students and then took them on a tour of the manufacturing plant. One lucky student won an iPad just for attending!
