Mitsubishi EDM to Feature Newest Technology and Expertise at Westec Booth #3532

Wood Dale, IL - Mitsubishi is gearing up for Westec 2007. The booth will showcase the newest machines and latest technology from Mitsubishi EDM and Roku-Roku. For decades, Mitsubishi has remained the EDM industry leader, delivering the features, technical support and customer service to keep customers successful.

"We have transitioned along with the EDM industry from the days of thriving tool & die shops into more demanding and highly-specialized part production markets of today. Only EDM technology can achieve the precision and accuracies demanded by markets such as medical, aerospace and power generation," explains VP Nicolas Giannotte.

The MD+PRO, Mitsubishi's newest wire machine, is designed specifically to accommodate the medical field's need for 24/7 production work. The MD+PRO delivers ultimate high-speed production and precision. The full servo B-axis indexing option introduces two new EDM processes: indexing and turning & burning.

Mitsubishi's FA20VS provides automatic threading capabilities of wire sizes .004"~ .014" fully utilizing the machines high-speed roughing as well as fine finishing abilities. The V500 Power Supply provides the proper combination of voltage and peak current to do an excellent job of machining PCD and CBN materials. The V500 combines with Power Master (PM4) also excels in poor flushing type work, providing 20% faster machining as compared to the FA-S Series.

The sinker line's EA12V enhances accuracy and productivity, combined with a space-saving, automation-ready design. The patented ESPER software provides simple routines for electrode and workpiece location and measuring. ESPER also makes generating power settings and orbital routines very simple. Cutting technology that has been proven over many years gives the user unparalleled performance.

The 4-axis Waterjet Suprema's software features Intelligent Tapering Control, which corrects the natural tapering of the cut automatically. Through the CNC it inclines the water jet up to ± 6 degrees while pointing the jet towards the cutting direction. This process allows for the optimum cutting speed in a contour and accurate wall straightness.

Roku-Roku's HC-658 High-Speed Vertical Machining Center combines high-speed hard-milling machining of mold steels and a multi-purpose design that provides unsurpassed graphite-machining and dust collection capability.

The Consumable Products Group (CPG) will showcase its extensive line of OEM quality consumables. CPG products maximize efficiencies and increase EDM machine's longevity. The product line includes filters, brass wire, zinc-coated wire, diffusion-annealed wire, power-feed contacts and power-feed conversion kits.

Mitsubishi's superior products are backed by industry-leading service and support. With regional satellite service locations across the country, our localized service teams can respond instantly. Our knowledgeable service team will be at the booth to discuss how Mitsubishi goes above and beyond to deliver excellence in customer service.
