Mitsubishi EDM and Laser Showcases New Technology at CMTS Booth #4023

Wood Dale, IL - Wood Dale, IL - MC Machinery Systems, Inc. prepares for the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show. With multiple lines of complementary technology, Mitsubishi has the experience and equipment solutions to help Canadian manufacturers achieve maximum productivity.

The FA-S series incorporates key features from other product lines to provide the best overall cost-performance series yet. The V machine's V500 Ultra High Speed Power Supply combined with the P machine's fine finish power supply and non-isolated workpiece table provide unmatchable speed and surface finish. PM4 control works with the inverter driven flushing system, providing 20-30% faster cutting speeds in poor flush conditions.

The EA12V Sinker has a space-saving footprint and a multi-position work tank, allowing the operator to set up while circulating the dielectric fluid. The E.S.P.E.R. II software can easily create programs for measuring, power settings for burning, and orbital paths for finishing.

In addition to wire and sinker technology, Mitsubishi EDM will showcase its CNC small-hole EDM drill. This easy-to-use design and low-energy consumption combines high speed and low wear. The power supply generates no bullet nosing on the eelectrode, creating cleaner holes and quicker breakthroughs.

Mitsubishi Laser's newest high-speed laser cutting system, the LVPLUS, will also be on display. The machine's 40CFX is Mitsubishi's most powerful resonator yet, with standout X-Flow Technology. Its optimal beam quality and beam stability allows for maximum cutting power. With 4,000 watts, it can cut up to 1" mild steel, ½" aluminum and ¾" stainless steel.

Waterjet Powered by Mitsubishi Electric has been designed to complement EDM and laser technologies with the precision of Mitsubishi controls and servo system. The 4-axis Waterjet Suprema's software features Intelligent Tapering Control, which corrects the natural tapering of the cut automatically. Through the CNC it inclines the water jet up to ± 6 degrees while pointing the jet towards the cutting direction. This process allows for the optimum cutting speed in a contour and accurate wall straightness.

Roku-Roku's HC-658 High-Speed Vertical Machining Center provides a multi-purpose design unsurpassed for the high-speed machining of mold steels and graphite electrodes. Its one-piece box style cast base and mono-block column and crossbeam support provides excellence in quality and rigidity.

Toyokoki Press Brake will showcase its Electric APB Series. The APB Series features a direct drive format using a large-diameter, high-precision ballscrew driven by an AC servo motor. Toyokoki offers both operation ease and ultra high precision, with technology to meet small lot, multi-product production, short cycle delivery schedules, increased product complexity and increased accuracy requirements.
