Micro Power Adds to Executive Team


Beaverton, Ore., August 7, 2007 - Micro Power, the global leader in portable power systems for mission-critical equipment, today announced two new members of its executive team, Mr. Paul Brown as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Ms. Gaylyn Sher-Jan as Human Resources Executive.

Prior to joining Micro Power, Mr. Brown was Vice President of Finance and CFO of PSC Inc., a leading technology company with products utilizing laser scanning, imaging and RFID for data collection applications in the retail and supply chain industries. He led initiatives to take companies through Initial Public Offerings (IPO), as well "go-private" transactions to transfer corporate ownership to private equity firms. Additionally, Mr. Brown held executive management positions at TRM Corporation and SMC Corporation. A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Brown attended Harvard University and graduated with a BS in Business from Portland State University.

Prior to joining Micro-Power Ms. Sher-Jan owned a management consulting firm, OnCourse Group, Inc., providing strategic human resources, organizational design, strategy development, change management and executive coaching services to large, medium and small companies in high-tech, manufacturing and healthcare industries, as well as governmental agencies. Before founding OnCourse Group, she worked for Hewlett-Packard in a variety of management roles including manufacturing and human resources. Ms. Sher-Jan holds a BS in Information Systems from the San Diego State University. She serves on AeA's Executive Board and the Boys and Girls Aid Society Board of Directors.
