Michael Whitehead Appointed Intellectual Property Counsel At Lincoln Electric


CLEVELAND, Ohio, U.S.A., September 15, 2005 -- Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: LECO) has appointed Michael Whitehead as Chief Counsel, Intellectual Property. In this new position, Mr. Whitehead will have responsibility for managing Lincoln Electric's global intellectual property and related issues. He will report to the Company's General Counsel.
Mr. Whitehead joins Lincoln from Calfee, Halter and Griswold LLP, where he was a patent attorney with the firm's intellectual property practice in its Cleveland office. Prior to joining Calfee, he was patent counsel at Sughrue Mion, LLP, a Washington, D.C.-based law firm specializing in intellectual property.
Mr. Whitehead earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University and a law degree from Franklin Pierce College in Concord, New Hampshire.
