Management Information Systems

Software solutions are an integral part of Mettler-Toledo and play an important role at the interpack 2014:

The data management software ProdX 1.2 for integrated management of x-ray inspection, metal detection and checkweighing technologies will be presented. The software connects data from multiple systems and enables central monitoring from any location for improved process efficiency and allows for faster response times. The software also supports compliance with food safety standards and regulations.

Mettler-Toledo offers the network-based software solution FreeWeigh.Net, a highly configurable, standardised software system for statistic quality control (SQC) of filling and packaging processes. With the FreeWeigh.Net device integration module, a wide variety of devices can be connected to the system without additional programming. FreeWeigh.Net evaluates the data from many measuring devices and instruments such as checkweighers and static scales in order to comply with the fill quantity control, such as FPVO (German Packaging Regulations). The new software version 6.1.3 offers increased performance and compatibility, and supports a large number of measuring devices and instruments.

Pilot Site Manager (PSM) software for integrated track and trace line management provides enterprise-wide high visibility of data for the pharmaceutical industry. The software is a global solution and can be fully accessed by production managers from any location, enabling compliance with a wide range of regional requirements as well as allowing flexibility to meet future regulations. PSM forms the basis for unique item-level serialisation and aggregation of serial numbers to packaging units and boasts a mobile user interface. Simple integration to customised enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP and central data warehouses is possible.
