Archambeau named as the champion of public policy issues related to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act

November 20, 2007, Redwood Shores, CA - MetricStream, the market leader in Enterprise-wide Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) and Quality Solutions for global corporations, announced that its CEO, Shellye Archambeau, has been appointed to Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG). Archambeau has been named as the champion of public policy issues related to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

SVLG, which comprises 235 Silicon Valley employers representing 1 out of every 4 employees in Silicon Valley, is organized to involve principal officers and senior managers of member companies in a cooperative effort with local, regional, state and federal government officials to address major public policy issues affecting the economic health and quality of life in Silicon Valley . Economically, SVLG has become a cornerstone of the Valley; collectively, its members contribute more than $1 trillion to the global economy.

SVLG encourages members of the US Congress to embrace policy changes to improve the nation's global competitiveness and toward that end has prioritized six issues of significant importance to Silicon Valley . One of the issues is to reform the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX). Shellye Archambeau has been named champion of this issue for the organization.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was the keynote speaker at the SVLG Annual Public Policy Luncheon at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center on Friday, November 2. The governor addressed the gathering of more than 1200 business executives, public officials, community leaders and citizens on California' s competitiveness. Following the Governor, Archambeau addressed the attendees at the luncheon highlighting the progress made by the Group in 2007 and the strong progress than can be expected in 2008 in the areas of education, energy and transportation.

"I am honored to be appointed to the Board of Directors of SVLG," said Archambeau.
"Silicon Valley is a fertile ground for high-growth companies that create tremendous value for all stakeholders.
