Global Enterprise Software Vendor Acquires European Firm, Further Strengthens Process Expertise and International Presence
BALTIMORE and BRUSSELS, Belgium, Nov. 15 -- Metastorm, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Analysis (BPA), and Enterprise Architecture (EA) software for aligning strategy with execution, today announced that it has acquired Process Competence, a European firm specializing in helping organizations design and optimize customer-oriented business processes. The acquisition further strengthens Metastorm's global leadership position by providing its customers with local process experts who can help establish process excellence as a discipline and help organizations deploy the Metastorm Enterprise(TM) software to deliver real results.
Process Competence was already a certified Metastorm partner and a licensed distributor for the Metastorm ProVision® modeling suite. The company's expertise in process best practices, its strong process improvement methodology, and its proven success in helping organizations throughout Europe achieve success with Metastorm ProVision were key factors in Metastorm's decision to acquire Process Competence. Its employees will play an integral role in extending Metastorm's direct sales and professional services presence in Europe and other regions.
The acquisition of Process Competence closely follows Metastorm's acquisition of Proforma Corporation in August 2007 and further contributes to Metastorm's goal of helping its customers unify strategy, analysis and execution on a single technology platform.
