MetalForming Magazine Hires New Sales Representatives


CLEVELAND, OH - PMA Services, Inc., publisher of MetalForming magazine, the official publication of the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), continues to expand and has reorganized its sales organization. MetalForming hired three new sales representatives to provide increased accessibility and support for advertisers and suppliers to the metalforming industry, to reach customers and prospects.

"MetalForming is not only expanding its sales team, but making certain that the new representatives are based in the territories they serve, in order to ensure outstanding customer service and to help work with marketers who need to reach the $113 billion metalforming industry in the most effective way possible," said William E. Gaskin, president of PMA Services, Inc. "The metalforming industry is well on its way to recovery and needs to ramp up its investments in technology and equipment to expand its ability to deliver cost-effective value-added services to its customers."

Rick Edman will sell advertising, sponsorships and related print, online and electronic products to metalforming companies in the Northeast. He has extensive experience selling industrial, trade and consumer publications plus other forms of media including online and in-flight TV. He has represented such titles as PGA Magazine, PC World, Small Time and Elsevier's Materials Today. Edman is a graduate of DePauw University and was a Captain in the U.S. Army. He is based in southern Connecticut.

Ryan King's Midwest sales territory includes Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. He began his advertising sales career with the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune after graduating from the University of Iowa. King has focused on selling print and online space in industrial and library B2B magazines along with special-interest publications and websites. He has implemented strategic initiatives in print, online and direct mail for his clients. He is based in the greater Chicago area.

Bob West will serve companies in the Southeastern states. Since 1981, he has established a reputation for working with clients to take full advantage of creative win-win methods for reaching their customers, applying evolving media approaches and targeting the most effective opportunities to impact each company's specific goal. West has a marketing degree from Valdosta State University and more than two decades of service to publications covering the metal products manufacturing sector. He is based in Atlanta.

"We are committed to helping suppliers of materials, equipment and services to the metalforming industry by offering the best possible service and support in reaching their customer base."

Edman, King and West join the MetalForming magazine sales team that also includes Vivien Tomsik, an Ohio-based sales representative, and Andy Flando, publisher. Tomsik's territory covers western New York, western Pennsylvania, the West Coast and Canada, in addition to helping coordinate sales internally. Flando has responsibility for leading the entire sales effort, and will also cover a territory comprised of Michigan, Ohio and international accounts.

MetalForming magazine sales representative Sherry Theien will be leaving the publication on August 31 after nearly 20 years of service. Through her outstanding work, Sherry played an instrumental role in the success of the magazine. MetalForming wishes Sherry well.

MetalForming magazine is published monthly by PMA through PMA Services, Inc. It is distributed to 55,000 readers engaged in forming and fabricating sheetmetal.
