Met-Pro Corporation Mourns Loss of Former Chairman, CEO and President Walter A. Everett


Harleysville, PA, June 29, 2009 - Raymond J. De Hont, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Met-Pro Corporation (NYSE:MPR), today expressed condolences on behalf of Met-Pro's Board of Directors and the entire organization on the passing of the Company's former Chairman, CEO and President, Walter A. Everett. Mr. Everett, who passed away unexpectedly this past Saturday, was 87 years old.

Mr. Everett joined the Company in 1966 as Chief of Sales. He quickly rose through the ranks to the positions of President CEO and Chairman of the Board, retiring as Chairman of the Board on June 2, 1999. Through his outstanding leadership he transformed the Company from what was a small fabrication shop in Lansdale, Pennsylvania into a global force in the pollution control and fluid handling markets.

Mr. De Hont commented, "We are all very saddened by the sudden passing of Walter, a true friend and one of the outstanding leaders in Met-Pro's history. His contribution to the Company's growth and success is immeasurable. He will be missed and his loss sorely felt. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife Peggy and the entire Everett family."
