MCA Offers New Membership Category for Distributors

Ann Arbor, Michigan - The Motion Control Association (MCA) has created a new membership category exclusively for distributors. For $700 per year, distributors who derive at least 1/3 of their revenues from the sale of motors, drives and motion control products will receive:

A detailed listing on Motion Control Online, the industry's leading resource on the internet, with new features designed to produce leads for distributors
One free registration to the annual MCA Business Conference, the industry's leading networking event
Key contact information at other MCA member companies, the industry's leading suppliers of motion control products

Access to key executives at companies supplying robotics and machine vision, since MCA's sister trade groups are the Robotic Industries Association (RIA) and Automated Imaging Association (AIA), the world's leading trade groups for these technologies.

Founded in 2006, MCA currently has some 60 supplier members including industry leaders such as Baldor Electric, Baumuller, Bosch Rexroth, Danaher Motion, Maxon Precision Motors, Mitsubishi Electric Automation, National Instruments, Omron, Parker Electromechanical Automation, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Siemens Energy & Automation, Yaskawa Electric America, and others.

"Distributors are an increasingly important channel for our members and we feel now is the time to broaden our membership to create closer links within the organization between suppliers and distributors, said John Mazurkiewicz (Baldor), MCA Chairman. "Additionally, distributor members will receive some key benefits from the MCA organization.

"When you look at the total membership of MCA and its sister groups, we have some 600 companies involved in providing factory automation products. Distributors involved in factory automation will see immediate benefit from the exposure we can provide them to these leading supplier companies," explained Jeff Burnstein, MCA President.

"We've decided to keep the cost very low since our goal is to facilitate more networking opportunities. In fact, the free conference registration alone is worth nearly $700, so the rest of the 365 days a year benefits are basically free to distributor members," Burnstein noted.

The MCA Business Conference that distributor members can send one representative to at no charge takes place January 20-22, 2020 at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa in downtown Disney, Orlando, Florida. The event is collocated with the annual Robotics Industry Forum and Automated Imaging Association Business Conference. The combined events will attract some 250 top executives from robotics, machine vision, and motion control companies. Talks will focus on business issues such as the outlook for the economy, new market opportunities, and how to more successfully run your business. Special talks will focus exclusively on the needs of distributors.

MCA's Motion Control Online website (www.motioncontrolonline.org) attracts some 30,000 visitors a month who are looking for articles, industry statistics, and suppliers of motion control products. The content-rich website offers great exposure for member companies. Plans are underway to create a special "find a distributor" area of the website.

Distributor members also will be listed in the annual Motion Control Industry Directory published annually by MCA. It's the association's most requested free resource.
