MEI Technologies, Inc. Announces New Chief Executive Officer


Founder and first chief executive officer of U.S.-based technology company MEI Technologies, Inc. (MEIT), Ed Muniz, today announced his plans to retire and named L.
David Cazes as his successor. Muniz will remain involved in the company serving as executive chairman of the board. Cazes' CEO duties are to start Nov. 26, running the company from its Houston headquarters.

Cazes has been in the industry for over 25 years and joins MEIT from Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) where he last served as senior vice president / deputy manager for SAIC's Space, Aviation and Science Operation.

"It has been an honor and privilege to run a company with such caring and highly skilled employees dedicated to making advancements in technology for our country and its people," said Muniz. "I leave the company in good hands with David as he possesses the strong ethics, leadership and drive critical to serving as our next CEO and taking the company into its future."

MEIT proudly celebrates 20 years of serving its customers, in which time its leadership team established a strong company culture and developed core services and solutions in systems design and development, applied engineering, cyber service & security, and research and development.

Cazes' initial priority as CEO is to establish relationships with company leadership, employees and customers. Continuing to provide best-value services and development support to government and commercial customers, Cazes will focus on launching MEIT into the full and open market.
