Meggitt Hires Compliance Administrator for Trade Regulations

Germantown, MD -- Meggitt, a leading supplier of quality accelerometers and vibration sensor networks, has hired Andrea Steele as a Compliance Administrator working in support of the Wilcoxon Research product line. Steele will have many responsibilities related to international trade regulation compliance and government contracts.

"Andrea will make a difference for customers within the government and for international customers by ensuring that all administrative and regulatory functions are handled speedily and professionally," said John Churchill, the Trade Compliance Officer at the Germantown facility. "With a large number of government contracts and trade-restricted products, it is essential to have a person who is dedicated to these important customers."

Steele will administer various responsibilities associated with international trade regulatory compliance, including reviewing and initiating trade agreement certificates and assisting in the classification of restricted items within the Wilcoxon Research line of products for export licensing purposes. She will monitor government contract regulations and requirements to ensure the company's compliance. Steele will also protect the company's strategic and product development partners by managing non-disclosure agreements and other corporate agreements. Additionally, Steele will manage visitor access to the Germantown facility to ensure that restricted products and processes are not unintentionally released.

Before joining Meggitt, Steele was a Program Administrator at Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation where she was responsible for quarterly budget monitoring, contract management, and overseeing funding arrangements of US Army contracts.
