Measurement Computing Corporation Introduces New Low-Cost Data Loggers

NORTON, Mass. - Measurement Computing Corporation, a leading manufacturer of value-priced data acquisition hardware and software, today added two new data loggers to its line of low-cost, battery-powered data loggers.

The USB-505 is a single-channel, event logger, state change logger, and event counter. The USB-505 can record events (detecting an input and storing the time and date of occurrence), record state changes (when the input reverts back to normal) and count events (number of events that happen in a time period, without any individual event time or date information). Up to 32,510 events or state changes can be recorded. The USB-505 provides a logging rate of up to four times per sec for events, two times per sec for state changes and 100 times per sec when counting and accepts input voltages up to 24 V. The USB-505 is powered by a user-replaceable lithium battery.

The USB-501-RCG is a temperature data logger powered by a lithium-ion rechargeable battery which allows logging for up to 1 month. The USB-501-RCG measures and stores up to 32,510 temperature readings over a -20 to +60 degrees C (-4 to +140 degrees F) measurement range. The polycarbonate window and stainless steel 316 assembly provide protection from corrosion, impact and water ingress to IP67 / NEMA 4X. The battery is charged by connecting the unit to a PC's USB port with the supplied cable.

Users can set up each logger and view downloaded data by plugging the module into a USB port on a PC using the included USB-500 Series Data Logger Application software. With the easy-to-use software, users can select the sampling rate, start-time, logging mode, and perform data download/analysis.
