Anoka, Minnesota: Mate Precision Tooling will exhibit the latest tooling system technology at FABTECH 2012, Las Vegas, Booth 3720, North America's largest fabricating, metal forming, finishing and welding event.

New Mate RAPIDSET(TM) Provides Quick Tool Changes With Existing Tooling

Mate introduces RAPIDSET(TM) adjustable thick turret canisters for use with Mate Original Style and AMX(TM) punch press tooling. RAPIDSET also is compatible with Amada Standard, Amada ABS, and Wilson Standard tooling styles.

Designed to provide quick tool changes and make punch length adjustment faster with existing tooling inventories, RAPIDSET has these features: non-rotating clamping head with easily adjustable clamping screw for setting punch length; textured Gription(TM) canister feature for ease of handling; and a pre-loaded, self-contained spring pack that provides consistent stripping pressure, die penetration and reduced slug-pulling. Available in A and B station canisters.

New Mate Extended Life Punches For Euromac® XMTE10 Multi-Tools

Triple punch grind life with Mate's Extended Life Punch for Euromac XMTE10 Multi-Tools. The new XMT12.7A adjustable length punch builds on the success of Mate's innovative, high performance 24mm XMT24A punch. The adjustable design allows punch length adjustment by simply rotating the punch head. When coupled with XMT12.7A's standard high speed steel punches, grind life can be tripled (may vary based on material and thickness).

Additional features include: precise punch orientation for improved piece part quality, ¼ degree back taper, and near polished punch flanks for reduced friction to eliminate galling while maximizing punch life.

Mate Special Application Tooling Provides A "Smarter" Punching Solution And Intelligent Use Of Material

Looking for ways to combine fabricating operations, minimize setups and reduce press downtime? Mate's Special Application tooling is just the answer. Hinge tooling, EasyMark(TM), Easy Snap(TM), and Snap Lock(TM), are just four of many special application tooling systems shown at Fabtech that will improve productivity, eliminate secondary operations and improve product quality. They make intelligent use of material, a primary focus for Fabtech 2012.

Mate has a wide variety of special application tooling for common and complex applications. For example, Mate hinge tooling (see video at mate.com) makes complex hinge forms easy to fabricate in a punch press. With Mate hinge tooling, you can eliminate secondary operations that attach hinge components and ensure greater accuracy. Separate hinges, fasteners, spot welds or other assembly operations are no longer needed. It also eliminates the cost of specialized press brake or stamping tooling necessary to create hinge forms. Fabricate different types of knuckles with varying lengths and diameters. It's ideal for use in metal enclosures and similar cabinetry with integral hinge knuckles.

Be sure to visit the Fabrication Solutions section of Mate's website, mate.com, where you can download Mate's Solution Bulletins that contain ideas to help improve or simplify your operation, perhaps even expand your business with new techniques. See these and more: fabricate unusual logos, create threaded components, reduce sheet distortion and much, much more!

When your fabricating project requires you to look for new ways to work smarter, operate leaner and boost productivity, attending Fabtech and visiting with the Mate tooling professionals will provide you with new solutions. From architecture as art, to everything in between and beyond, Mate Special Application tooling provides fabricators with the solutions needed to get the job done. Mate Precision Tooling...
