The aerospace test solutions provider is featured at AUTOTESTCON in a leadership panel, technical presentations, and on the expo floor throughout the week.

Sharing Expert Armament Advice

AUTOTESTCON will feature Marvin Test Solutions' CEO Steve Sargeant in its plenary session Automatic Testing for the Next Decade - Keeping Pace with the New Military on September 18. Today's 4th generation aircraft have armament systems with new smart weapons, bearing little resemblance to the original systems; yet, maintainers are still required to use the same or similar armament circuits preload test set (ACPTS) used for earlier aircraft - creating a test gap for today's armament systems. As a Major General USAF (Ret.), CEO of Marvin Test Solutions, and Vice President of Strategic Development for The Marvin Group, Steve Sargeant will shed light on changing needs in the market and where test efforts should be focused to overcome the armament test gap and maintain flight readiness for today's smart weapons and advanced aircraft.

In addition, Marvin Test Solutions' executives will present two papers at this year's conference:

-  Incorporating Optical Test Capabilities into a Depot Test Platform (Sept. 17): Learn how an existing depot test platform that supports a variety of missile launcher systems (LAU 7, LAU 88, LAU 117, LAU 127, LAU 128, and LAU 129) was modified to address support for Paveway laser guided bomb kits.

-  Instrument, Hardware, and Software Simulation in a Test System (Sept. 19): Discover how an application run-time engine that is part of a commercial application development environment, i.e., ATEasy, can be enhanced to support a test program simulation mode.

Showcasing the MTS-3060 SmartCan in Booth 307

This year at AUTOTESTCON, Marvin Test Solutions will feature a range of test solutions that demonstrate the company's continued commitment to delivering systems that provide outstanding value and performance for military and aerospace customers. In booth 307, Marvin Test Solutions has an array of products supporting operational-, intermediate-, and depot-level test including the MTS-3060 SmartCan™.

The SmartCan is an innovative universal O-level test set for 4th generation fighter aircraft that are typically tested with insufficient ACPTS created for earlier generation aircraft. As the only flightline test set capable of fully emulating smart weapons such as JDAM, SmartCan allows technicians to test the MIL-STD 1760 bus interface between the weapons and aircraft. The hand-held, AA battery-operated SmartCan flightline test set weighs less than three pounds and packs the capability to conduct full pre- and post-load operations while possessing pre- and post-flight audio and video channels for troubleshooting legacy systems such as AIM-9 and AGM-65. Today's SmartCan solution joins the ranks of other proven Marvin Test Solutions equipment currently deployed or ready to deploy on platforms such as the F-35, F-22, A-10, F-15, F-16, F-18, TA-50, FA-50, F-5, Hawk, and UAS.
