Martin Engineering Introduces On-Line Selector for Transfer Point Components

Specify Transfer Point Components on www.martin-eng.com

Martin Engineering (Neponset, IL) has brought the specification of conveyor transfer point components to the Internet with the introduction of an on-line MARTIN® Transfer Point System Selector on the company's website www.martin-eng.com.

Following entry of the characteristics of a belt conveyor and its cargo, the new System Selector will generate a recommendation for the proper components to improve the conveyor's loading zone. Users can then link to other pages to view the features, benefits, and specifications for the MARTIN® Products.

MARTIN® Components included in the Transfer Point System Selector include:
o Chute Work
o Track-Mounted Idlers
o Dust Curtains
o Tail Sealing System
o Impact Cradles
o Belt Tracking Devices
o Skirtboard Seals
o Belt Support Cradles for Non-Impact Areas
o Inspection/Access Doors
o Wear Liner
o Tail Protection Plows

To formulate a recommendation, users of the MARTIN® Transfer Point System Selector enter basic information about their application. The information required is specific to each component. The System Selector then generates an itemized bill of materials, which can be used to order appropriate components.

The MARTIN® Transfer Point System Selector includes a section where a user can evaluate the geometry of existing chutes to determine if replacement is necessary. The on-line system also includes tools to calculate the theoretical airflow, used to determine dust management requirements, and to retrieve the CEMA material code, to describe material abrasiveness, density, lump size, flowability, and other properties.

To try the MARTIN® Transfer Point System Selector, visit the Products/Transfer Points or the Solutions sections of the Martin Engineering web site at www.martin-eng.com.
