Pepperl+Fuchs executive assumes key corporate responsibilities

Austin, TX (Vocus/PRWEB ) March 12, 2009 -- The Fieldbus Foundation has announced the appointment of Marc Van Pelt as its corporate secretary. Van Pelt will add corporate responsibilities to his current positions as the foundation's Vice-president, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Operations; and Chairman; EMEA Steering Committee. He has also been a member of the Fieldbus Foundation European Marketing Committee (FF-EMC) for more than a decade.

Taking a corporate function in combination with my role as Vice President, EMEA Operations will surely intensify even more the relationship between the global and EMEA levels, which will be to the benefit of the entire foundation.

Marc Van Pelt has been a tremendous asset to the Fieldbus Foundation during his tenure as Vice President, EMEA Operations, and I am certain he will do an excellent job in his new corporate role with our organization.

The Fieldbus Foundation is taking steps to strengthen our organizational structural in support of the FOUNDATION(TM) fieldbus supplier and end user communities. Van Pelt is a 20-year employee of Pepperl+Fuchs, a leading developer and manufacturer of electronic sensors and components for the global automation market, and holds the title of Sales Director, Process Automation, for Western Europe and Africa.
