Marathon Motors TEAO Cooling Tower Motor Wins Plant Engineering's Gold Product of the Year Award

Plant Engineering magazine has chosen Marathon™ Motors TEAO Cooling Tower motor for the 2015 Product of the Year Gold Award in the Electric Motors and Drives category. The award program, now in its 28th year, relies on readership to select the outstanding new products that help them do their jobs in a manner that’s more efficient, productive, safe and smart.Â

More than 100 finalists from 60 companies were listed on ballots for evaluation in 27 categories. Each category consists of three awards: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Engineering subscribers voted to identify the products they felt were the most exceptional based on technological advancement, service to the industry, and market impact. The new TEAO Cooling Tower motor was based on Voice of the Customer feedback. The TEAO Cooling Tower motor design is built for critical performance in the most extreme environments.
Upon learning of the award Tim Harris, Vice President, Business Leader for C I Motors, felt it fitting to thank Chris and the engineering and production teams who helped make the product possible. “This is a testament to Marathon innovation, and marks the fourth time that Marathon has been recognized for Product of the Year,” said Harris. The award was presented at an awards ceremony in Chicago, IL on Monday, March 21, 2016. Mike Wickiser, Senior Vice President, C I Motors and Generators, was also present.
