Mar Cor Purification Acquires Gambro's U.S. Water Business
... Water products will provide Mar Cor customer base with more options
LITTLE FALLS, N.J. - October 7, 2010 - CANTEL MEDICAL CORP., through its Mar Cor Purification subsidiary, announced today that it had reached agreement with Gambro to acquire its U.S. medical water business to manufacture, sell and service all water products, components, parts and consumables solely intended for the U.S. market. Mar Cor will transition the manufacturing of these products into its ISO 13485 Registered Medical Device manufacturing facility in Plymouth, MN and immediately assume responsibility for service and support of Gambro's installed base of over 1,200 clinics and hospitals in the United States. All aligned U.S. employees of Gambro's water business will be offered employment with Mar Cor, which will help provide a smooth transition for Gambro customers. Mar Cor will be opening a new Denver office to continue to provide sales and service support.

The Gambro products will help us address two major trends in dialysis water systems: hot water disinfection and single patient treatment.
