Manufacturers welcome legislation to delay Boiler MACT proposal.
Press Release Summary:
July 22, 2011 - Chip Yost, NAM VP of Energy and Resources Policy, issued statement in response to bipartisan legislation to stay the current Boiler MACT proposal. According to Yost, "EPA's Boiler MACT proposal is a costly and burdensome regulation that is unrealistic and threatens tens of thousands of jobs during time of record unemployment. This bipartisan measure would ensure that rules are delayed for defined period, extend compliance period from 3 to 5 years, and provide some certainty for job creators."
