Washington, D.C. – Manufacturers from across the United States participated in a tele–town hall today with 2016 presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). On this call, Sen. Cruz addressed and answered questions from manufacturers and business owners on key policy issues, such as healthcare, tax, trade, tort reform and environmental regulations.

The tele–town halls offer manufacturers and business owners an opportunity to hear directly from presidential candidates on policies that impact businesses, manufacturers and the economy.

“Manufacturing in America accounts for 12 percent of GDP and contributes more than $2 trillion to our economy,” said National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Senior Vice President of External Relations Ned Monroe. “Presidential candidates must explain their stance on manufacturing issues. We appreciate Sen. Cruz joining us today and talking about how he is going to grow the economy. Manufacturers look forward to hearing from all seeking office on how to keep manufacturing growing, productive and competitive in our global economy.”

Sen. Cruz is the third presidential candidate to participate in the tele–town hall series hosted by the NAM, the Associated Builders and Contractors, the Associated General Contractors of America, the Business-Industry Political Action Committee, the National Federation of Independent Business and the National Retail Federation.
