Makino Demonstrates New Process Insights and Technology Solutions at Aerospace Structural Component Technology Event

Makino hosts Aluminum Titanium Aerospace Structural Component Day at its Mason, Ohio technology center on April 30. By its namesake, this latest addition to Makino’s series of technology events is set to demonstrate the latest process engineering and technology advancements in aerospace aluminum and titanium structural component production.

“Attendees of this event will find the latest and most innovative manufacturing solutions for aerospace structural parts that can directly enhance productivity, throughput, quality and tool life for an improved bottom line,” said Mark Rentschler, Marketing Manager at Makino. “Technical presentations and live cutting demonstrations will take place throughout the day, and Makino applications engineers will be available to discuss specific interests or questions at various learning stations.”

In addition to technical presentations and demonstrations, Colonel Mark Tillman (retired), the nation’s 12th Presidential pilot and commander of Air Force One from 2001-2009, joins the event as a special guest speaker at the evening dinner and reception. Col. Tillman was at the controls of Air Force One through numerous national events, including on September 11, 2001, when he kept President George W. Bush out of harm’s way.

The event is free but registration is required and can be completed by calling Cindy Enger at 513-573-4584, or by going online to www.makino.com/aero-structure. Please RSVP by April 22.

Aluminum & Titanium Aerospace Structural Component Technology Day is part of Makino’s spring educational lineup that includes the New Technologies for Jet Engine and Turbine Manufacturing event on April 16 and 17, and Automotive and Part Production Day taking place on May 8.

“With each of these events, we intend to share the latest knowledge and tools that our customers need to win new business opportunities in some of North America’s fastest growing markets” said Rentschler. “With insightful presentations, live machining demonstrations and one-on-one interactions with our engineering staff, attendees can take the knowledge and experience gained back home to improve their competitiveness globally.”
