Magnetek to Exhibit Line of High-Performance Elevator Controls at NAEC 2015

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. – Magnetek, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of elevator drives, will be exhibiting their new M1000 Elevator Drive, Quattro® Cube AC Elevator Drive, HPV® 900 AF Elevator Drive, and RegenAC™ Regenerative Braking Product at NAEC’s 66th Annual Convention and Exposition being held September 28‒October 1, 2015, in Boston. Magnetek’s full line of products provide unmatched ride smoothness, reduced installation time, and long-term energy regeneration.

Visitors to Booth 421 will learn how Magnetek’s regenerative controls save energy and money while improving reliability in both new installations and elevator modernization projects. Magnetek’s newest drive, the M1000, will be on display, and brings the industry’s most innovative and user-friendly interface to create a cutting-edge drive solution, making this elevator drive ideal for modernization projects. The Quattro AC Cube is an integrated regeneration drive that includes the same components as a full-size Quattro, minus the full-size enclosure, and is designed to meet growing demand for green building solutions. Attendees can also view Magnetek’s HPV 900 AF drive with patented technology, a practical, affordable solution for modernizing an MRL system with an axial flux PM machine. Magnetek’s high-performance RegenAC unit offers the latest regenerative technology, along with higher current capacity for use with larger motors, and can be installed with a new drive such as the M1000, or added to existing AC drive installations for increased energy savings.

Based on the operating characteristics of customers’ elevators, Magnetek’s Energy Savings Calculator, which will be available at the Company’s booth, can generate a quantitative comparison of an existing installation with the same elevators, post modernization, to determine potential energy savings of the proposed project. “With the assistance of our Energy Savings Calculator, customers will be able to estimate the savings they will realize through the use of Magnetek products in an elevator modernization,” said Ed Butte, Magnetek’s director of elevator and mining. “Visitors will have the opportunity to sign up for our Energy Savings Calculator at the show and learn about the energy savings that can be achieved by modernizing elevator systems.”

Additionally, Don Vollrath, Magnetek principal engineer, will be presenting an educational session, Improving Elevator Ride Quality, from 10:00-11:00 am Eastern Daylight Time on Wednesday, September 30. The session will focus on how to identify, troubleshoot, and implement solutions for elevator ride quality issues.
