Magnetek Receives Braking Systems Orders for Ten Moveable Bridges Located Throughout the United States


MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. - Magnetek, Inc. has been awarded contracts to supply its Mondel Braking Systems for 10 heavy moveable bridge projects located across the United States. The orders, valued at $800,000, are for bridges located in New York, Chicago, Atlantic Beach, N.Y.; West Palm Beach, Fla.; Cleveland, Ohio; Elizabeth City, N.C.; Wrightsville, N.C.; Gloucester, Mass.; and LaRosa, La. The orders are scheduled for delivery throughout calendar year 2012.

Mondel moveable bridge braking systems include Mill Duty AC thruster brakes, brake wheels, brake wheel couplings and stainless steel enclosures. Each braking system is custom engineered to the individual bridge specifications at Magnetek's World Headquarters located in Menomonee Falls, Wis.
