Lockheed Martin Recognizes VersaLogic Corp. as a Top Performing Supplier with 2007 STAR Award
Eugene, OR - VersaLogic Corp. announced that it has been recognized as a 2007 STAR Supplier by Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT]. The prestigious award was bestowed to recognize VersaLogic's ability to continuously meet Lockheed Martin's demanding quality and delivery requirements during 2007.
VersaLogic has provided Lockheed Martin with high quality embedded computer products, delivered on schedule, at a reasonable cost, since 1999.
Implemented in 1999, the STAR Award program recognizes the superior performance of Lockheed Martin's business partners and strives to develop stronger supply chain relationships. The award will be shared by VersaLogic and Lockheed Martin's Maritime Security & Ship Systems business unit, part of the corporation's Electronic Systems business area which nominated it.
Lockheed Martin places significant emphasis upon a business unit's evaluation of its suppliers, as well as its responsibility for management of the supplier and program. To qualify for an award, a supplier must be nominated by one of Lockheed Martin's four business areas: Aeronautics, Electronic Systems, Information Systems and Global Services, or Space Systems. Each business area nominates a supplier for STAR recognition and then shares this information with the other business units for consideration in their own supplier selection.
