Linde to Speak at the Cryogenic Engineering Conference and International Cryogenics Materials Conference (CEC-ICMC)

Tucson, Arizona – Linde announced that it will speak at the 20th Annual Cryogenic Engineering Conference and International Cryogenic Materials Conference (CEC-ICMC), June 28 – July 2, 2015. The conference focus is the science and engineering required for cryogenic applications. Linde will present information in relation to the generation and application of low temperatures, specifically:

• Design of cold compressor systems in terms of operational and economical aspects

• ESS accelerator plant process design

• Cryogenic infrastructure supplied by Linde Kryotechnik AG for the Series Magnet Test Facility for FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research)

• Status and commissioning results of the helium refrigerator plant for the European XFEL (X-ray Free Electron Laser)

• A new transient simulation tool for cryogenic safety valve design

Linde Cryogenics (LC) and Linde Kryotechnik (LKT) will also showcase cryogenics products and services designed to provide process plants low temperature helium and hydrogen refrigeration and liquefaction. To learn more about these offerings, participants can visit Linde at booth #212. Representatives will be available to discuss solutions that will streamline and optimize operations. Chris Clausen, LC Business Manager, said, “Linde is excited to discuss our array of liquefaction and refrigeration products that can meet a wide range of project needs.”

Attendees can also learn about LC’s new operator training for piston liquefiers and refrigerators at the Tulsa Port of Catoosa fabrication facility. “This is a great opportunity for operators and engineers to dive into the details of operation and maintenance of our systems,” said Clausen. The operator training provides a full week of hands on training lead by experienced field service engineers.

The Cryogenic Society of America (CSA) will award the Robert W. Vance Award during the conference. It is the first award ever given by the society and was established to honor dedication and long-term commitment to the advancement of the society. LC Deputy Business Manager, John Urbin, will receive the 2015 Robert W. Vance Award in recognition of nearly 40 years of experience and dedication to cryogenics.
