Linde North America Receives Award for Excellence in Support of Federal Agency

Murray Hill & New Providence, New Jersey, U.S., November 1, 2010 - Linde North America was presented with the Vendor Excellence Award from the Defense Logistics Agency. In presenting the award, the Agency cited Linde's ability to provide value, enhance efficiency and ensure timely communication to assist in its efforts to meet the critical needs of U.S. military missions around the world.

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), located in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, is the Department of Defense's largest logistics combat support agency, providing worldwide logistics support in both peacetime and wartime to the military services as well as several civilian agencies and foreign countries.

Among the products Linde supplies under contract to DLA are helium to military bases in the U.S. and overseas for applications such as weather balloons, as well as oxygen for breathing gases for aviators and nitrogen for various purging and inerting operations at military installations around the world.
