Learn the Latest Pipe Welding Technology and Practices

Cleveland - Pipe welding skills are in high demand in energy markets. Lincoln Electric will demonstrate how to improve pipe welding processes at a free Pipe Mill Welding Seminar hosted at the company's corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, from May 23-27, 2011. The five day seminar runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Pipe mill welding engineers, welders, operating and quality personnel are encouraged to attend.

Topics will include:

o Latest advances in pipe welding equipment

o Consumable selection

o Identification and correction of weld defects

o Effect of welding essential variables, including heat input on weld metal properties

Skills learned from hands-on demonstrations of multi-arc welding techniques, equipment and consumables will be put to use immediately. Tours of Lincoln's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, R&D Tech Center and Automation Division will also be conducted.
