Leviton Expands Commerical Networking Operations into India
Leviton India to offer complete data center connectivity solutions
Melville, New York, February 23, 2010 -- A year after entering the Mid-East market with operations headquartered in Dubai, Leviton Manufacturing Company is pleased to announce its expansion into India. Headquartered in Bangalore, Leviton Network Solutions, Pvt. Ltd., officially opened for business last month with satellite offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. In his role as Regional Director, Prasanna Kumar heads up Leviton's India operations, and will focus on the sale of Leviton's full line of commercial networking products and systems.

Leviton's commercial networking products consist of data infrastructure components used throughout commercial enterprises and their data center operations. The offering incorporates copper and fiber connectivity solutions for high-speed data transmission and Leviton's Fiber Connect line of pre-terminated systems and components, including products that offer interoperability with Cisco's Data Center 3.0 networking architecture. Leviton's Fiber Connect Group joined Cisco's Technology Developer Program last year. The program unites Cisco with third-party developers of hardware and software that deliver tested, interoperable solutions to joint customers.
Leviton's new Banglore facility is equipped with an Executive Briefing Center which showcases the Company's commercial networking product offering. The Center provides an ideal venue for customer and installer training as well as conferences and meetings. To pave the way for the company's introduction into the India, Leviton India Network Solutions recently participated in the Interop and BISCI trade shows held in Mumbai and Banglore. Additional Leviton products, including the company's lighting energy management systems, will be introduced in India sometime next year.
