Legal Department Announces Two Vice Presidencies


Sam Scruggs, Executive Vice President, General Counsel, today announced eight managerial reassignments within the Huntsman Legal Department, including Vice President appointments for Ron Brown, David Bunker. Certain of the appointments were necessitated by former Deputy General Counsel Russ Stolle's recent advancement to the position of Senior Vice President, Global Public Affairs and Communications.

The Legal Department appointments are, as follows:

o Ron Brown: Vice President, Legal, and Associate General Counsel for Intellectual Property. All of the Company's IP lawyers and professionals in the U.S. and Europe report to Ron. He will continue to office in The Woodlands, Texas.
o David Bunker: Vice President, Legal, and Associate General Counsel for the Americas. His responsibilities include management of the Huntsman Americas legal office in The Woodlands providing legal support for all Huntsman businesses throughout the Americas region, as well as continuing as Director of Legal Services for the Performance Products Division.
o Marshall Murray: Director of Legal Services, Base Chemicals and Polymers. Marshall is officed in The Woodlands.
Justin Phillipson: Director of Legal Services, Textile Effects, and manager of our new legal office in Basel, Switzerland, where TE and Advanced Materials will be headquartered.
o Sarah Wijns: Director of Legal Services, International Trade Compliance. Sarah, who is resident in Everberg, Belgium, will manage the Huntsman Trade Compliance function on a world-wide basis.
o Andrea Wykman: Director of Legal Services for Advanced Materials. Andrea will be located in Basel.
o Cecilia Lim is now Managing Counsel for our expanding in-house legal support of Huntsman businesses in Asia. To supplement the legal services currently provided out of our Singapore office, we have opened a new legal office in Shanghai, China. Cecilia will continue to be officed in Singapore but travel to Shanghai as her management responsibilities require.
o Carlo Mertesdorf has recently been appointed as Managing IP Attorney and will manage the Company's IP personnel located in Basel.
