LECO Releases Application Data from Recent Oil Spill
St. Joseph, Michigan - LECO has released a new application note highlighting the analysis of two petroleum samples obtained from the recent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Using a Pegasus® 4D GCxGC-TOFMS with GERSTEL autosampler and ChromaTOF® software, the analyst was able to resolve and identify an unprecedented number of individual components in a single analysis for the ultimate in high throughput. The ability to identify the chemical make-up of these complex samples will help to determine the environmental impact of the oil spill as quickly as possible while also working to identify adequate solutions.
