Laird Technologies Receives Ford Motor Company Q1 Award
Company Recognized as a Preferred Supplier of Telematics Products
St. Louis, Missouri, USA - May 12, 2010 - Laird Technologies, Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of customized performance-critical components and systems for advanced electronics and wireless products, today announced it received the Ford Motor Company's Q1 Award. The Award was presented to Laird Technologies for being a supplier of telematics products who excels in technical expertise with superior product quality and delivery performance, and who provides superior customer support and excellent problem solving. This honor marks the first time Laird Technologies has won this prestigious award.

Laird Technologies provides Ford with telematics products including: AM/FM In-Glass antenna systems, satellite/GPS antenna systems, AM/FM/SDARS antenna systems, and suppression capacitors.
The Ford Q1 quality system uses several key elements to assess a supplier's capability:
o Assessment and validation of system capabilities to insure quality and customer satisfaction.
o Customer endorsements which reflect the effectiveness of a company's efforts.
o Ongoing monitoring of quality and delivery performance.
o Continuous improvement activities within the company.
Suppliers needed 800 points to receive Q1 certification. Laird Technologies achieved a score of 1350; placing them into the upper echelon of Ford's top suppliers.
A contract manufacturer of Laird Technologies, Jebsee Electronics, located in Shenzhen, China was also acknowledged at the awards ceremony.
