Revised in October 2013, the hazardous materials regulations in parts 100-177 detail requirements for markings, labels, placards, shipping papers, training and emergency response. Domestic transportation regulations for highway, rail, air and water also are included.

--Â Additions to the Special Provisions (SP) section dealing with Lithium batteries (SP 188, 189, 190)
--Â Additions to the SP list dealing with capacitors (SP 361), Mercury (SP 365)
--Â Changes to the violation fine schedules (maximum and minimum civil penalties) (Section 107)
The Government 49 CFR Parts 100-177 and Parts 178-199 two-volume set comes in standard and spiral bound formats. Each book in the set measures at 6" x 9" and is packed two books per package. Also, an automatic 49 CFR subscription service is available.
