L&J Engineering at ILTA

Hillside, IL — L&J Technologies will be exhibiting products at ILTA this year in BOOTH 900 that specifically addresses some of the biggest issues affecting storage terminal operators in their facilities. We offer solutions for API 2350 with overfill protection products from our full line of radar level gauging, to independent high level alarms, as well as tank conservation products to reduce emissions into the atmosphere. In addition, our advance inventory management systems will be on display to address terminal product transfers and controls all in a working hands on gauging display and demonstration.

L&J will be featuring their MCG 1600SFI Smart Flash Infrared Radar Gauge with the all new Conar* antenna design. Designed to work in a variety of industries, the MCG 1600SFI has an accuracy of ± 0.5mm and uses FMCW technology, operating with a frequency range of 10GHz. The MCG 1600SFI Radar Gauge can be customized to specific applications. All information is displayed on the radar’s 32-character backlit LCD display and is programmed via the MCG 2150 Remote Calibrator. The Conar antenna is designed for use in stilling well and gauge/sampling hatch applications. The new conar antenna incorporates advanced waveguide technology which allows for a smaller, compact, and lightweight design. The conar antenna features a Teflon radome that prevents buildup from forming on the inside of the antenna.

L&J will also be demonstrating their vast line of level gauging devices from float & tape, to the newest evo 2600 radar gauge, as well as the latest MCG 7030 Touch Panel Alarm Monitor, to its line of overfill protection equipment. The MCG 7030, in conjunction with the MCG 1090 and MCG 1095 overfill Alarm Probes, address API 2350 recommendations for independent high level alarms at facilities required to have overfill protection.

The MCG 7030's touch screen selectable system allows the user to easily monitor the status of their tanks, probes and alarm controls. Weighing only 7.9 pounds, the MCG 7030 Alarm Monitor can be mounted almost anywhere because of its efficient design (11.82" width x 8.1" height x 2.17" depth). Up to 100 separate alarm probes can be monitored by the MCG 7030 using a single, 4-wire data highway. When coupled with an existing gauging or SCADA system, the MCG 7030 can function as an alarm data acquisition station.

A wireless communication option is also available for the MCG 7030 when used in conjunction with the MCG 1095 wireless high level alarm. This system uses highly reliable frequency hopping spread spectrum technology with custom encrypted L&J wireless protocol. By combining the MCG 7030 and MCG 1095, a facility can have the only truly independent self-testing overfill protection system on the market.
