KMT Robotic Solutions is Created, Appoints President


AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 13: Kevin McManus has been appointed president of The KMT Group's newly-formed Robotic Solutions business area. McManus, who served as president of recently-acquired Robotic Production Technology (RPT) since 1999, will now oversee operations at KMT Robotic Solutions, Inc. in Auburn Hills, Mich., KMT Robotic Solutions, AB in Ronneby, Sweden and KMT Robotic Solutions in Shanghai, China.

Before joining RPT, McManus, 51, served as Vice President of Operations and Treasurer of FANUC Robotics America and held various positions at Ernst & Young (a leading global professional services firm) including Senior Manager leading the transaction services group in Detroit.

"KMT Robotic Solutions was created from KMT Cutting Systems, a leader in the global market for robotic waterjet trimming systems headquartered in Sweden, and Robotic Production Technology, the North American leader in robotic waterjet trimming, routing, laser trimming and other applications," said McManus. We now have the enhanced ability to bring router trimming and other applications to Europe and China, as well as to bring new European applications such as abrasive waterjet and cleaning applications to North America."
