Kimberly-Clark Professional Announces Innovative Additions to KLEENGUARD Brand Eyewear and Glove Lines

Expansion Includes Patent-Pending New Fog and Particle Shield Glasses
and Seven New Gloves for Industrial Use

ROSWELL, Ga. (October 22, 2007) - Kimberly-Clark Professional today announced a major innovation in eye protection and an expansion of glove offerings for its well-known KLEENGUARD Brand, further extending its portfolio of limited-use, comfortable, head-to-toe protective gear.

"Safety professionals want Personal Protective Equipment that will drive compliance. Workers want eyewear, gloves and apparel that fit properly and are individualized and stylish," said Randy Kates, General Manager of the Kimberly-Clark Professional Safety Business. "By designing comfortable, fashionable safety products that work well together, we believe we can drive greater compliance among users."

Following are descriptions of the new KLEENGUARD Brand offerings, along with key features and applications:

Eye Protection

KLEENGUARD V50 Contour Eye Protection with Foam Fog and Particle Shield. With a patent-pending, integrated fog and particle shield and all-around comfortable foam surrounding the lens, the new V50 provides comfortable protection, while reducing fogging by 50 percent over traditional safety glasses when worn with an industrial respirator. The V50 also contours to the face, providing a better, more customized fit with the performance industrial work demands. Features include: ratcheted temples, scratch-resistant coating and impact resistance, along with an adjustable lens angle to suit individual preferences.
Gloves

With today's launch of seven new gloves, the KLEENGUARD line now provides a full range of offerings for virtually any industrial application. The new gloves include:

KLEENGUARD G10 Grey Nitrile Gloves. A "green" alternative to latex, this glove offers the protection of Nitrile with the sensitivity of Latex. Thin, yet strong, with innovative packaging that helps reduce waste and increase storage space, as gloves come 150 to a box versus 100 per box for competing products. Designed for tasks requiring dexterity, including small parts handling, electronics and precision assembly.

KLEENGUARD G40 Polyurethane Coated Gloves. For customers who want a thin mil "feel" with excellent grip and tactile sensitivity. This glove is also abrasion and tear-resistant. It is ideal for precision assembly, control handling, electronics assembly, packaging and inspecting.

KLEENGUARD G50 Mechanics Utility Gloves. For general purpose applications requiring a higher degree of protection, this glove provides enhanced knuckle padding and full coverage for all fingers. More breathable and less bulky than leather gloves, the KLEENGUARD G50 Mechanics Utility Glove features a wide hook-and-loop closure for a more secure fit. Uses include: general and building maintenance, HVAC/equipment operating, automotive repair and landscaping.

KLEENGUARD G50 Mechanics Contractor Gloves. For workers who need maximum dexterity for driving nails, framing and other tasks, this glove provides impact protection, a reinforced knuckle and the advantage of three open fingertips for greater precision. Ideal for small parts handling and assembly, framing and finishing, and warehousing.

KLEENGUARD G50 Mechanics with Palm and Finger Protection Gloves. Designed for hands that work with rough materials and equipment, this glove offers extra protection and padding in the palm, fingertip and knuckle areas, providing enhanced impact protection and comfort. Uses include: masonry, forging, stamping and injection molding.

KLEENGUARD G60 Cut Resistant Gloves. A comfortable, seamless knit glove with a higher level of cut protection. It features a unique blend of DYNEEMA® and glass to provide protection without compromising comfort. Ideal for undergloving as well as for paper making, glass cutting and metal stamping.

KLEENGUARD G80 PVC Chemical Resistant Gloves. A glove that offers comfortable chemical protection and is also easier to don and doff. It features a soft knit liner and resists acids, bases, salts and other aqueous solutions. Uses include: petrochemicals and refining, chemical processing and fabrication.

As part of the latest KLEENGUARD Brand launch, Kimberly-Clark Professional is offering end users tools and information including user guides and articles.

As with all KLEENGUARD Brand products, the new offerings feature a simple "Alpha Numeric" product selection formula, with the alphabet letter identifying the type of product and the number indicating the type and level of features.
