Kim Lighting Expands Bounce Bollard Line

LED products included in new line

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., Feb. 13, 2008 - Kim Lighting, a leading manufacturer of outdoor architectural lighting, has announced an expansion of its Bounce Bollard Series of lighting products. The new series includes LED lighting as part of the product line, in addition to three new bollard shaft styles and two new head designs. Wall and pedestrian-scale pole mount versions are also available with new LED technology.

Kim's Bounce Bollard and Mini Bounce series are for courtyards, interior sections of shopping centers, pedestrian zones, department store entryways, path lighting around offices and commercial buildings and other lower-mount and landscape applications.

"Kim's Bounce LED products are both high-performing and incredibly durable," said Bill Foley, general manager of Kim Lighting. "Pathway lighting often has to perform in harsh environments, and it is important the luminaries are high-quality and last at least 100,000 hours."

Bounce Bollard systems from Kim Lighting come in 30-, 45- and 60-watt variations. Specific product variations include:

Six different BNB Bounce Bollard models
o BNM Mini-Bounce Pedestrian-Scale Pole-Mounted Luminaires
o BNM Mini-Bounce Wall Mount Luminaires

The Kim Lighting Bounce Bollard series uses a patented cutoff optical system for the efficient distribution of illumination onto the ground, incorporating a controlled up-light feature for a subtle nighttime presence. For performance optics, the series achieves glare control by utilizing a flat lens horizontal lamp optical system, with a cap that produces bounce light to illuminate pedestrians or surrounding vertical elements. In addition, the systems are designed for easy re-lamping, achieved by hinging open the hood, which is retained by a stainless steel hinge and three stainless steel captive screws concealed from normal view. StarView® full cutoff versions are also available for dark-sky zones.
