Attendees of Lean and Six Sigma Conference to learn how to leverage quality to deliver value-based outcomes



MILWAUKEE, Wis., — A founding partner of a think-tank dedicated to improving performance in high-risk environments, and the principal of an international business transformation consulting firm and nationally recognized author will keynote the ASQ Lean and Six Sigma Conference Feb. 24–25 in Phoenix.



Attendees of ASQ’s Lean and Six Sigma Conference will learn how their organizations can embrace, apply, sustain and continuously leverage lean and Six Sigma methodologies to deliver increased efficiencies, profitability and return on investment.



The conference theme is “Sustaining Results Through a Culture of Quality,” focusing on new and unique applications of lean and Six Sigma, lean and Six Sigma in service, change management and the human side of lean and Six Sigma.



Tony Kern, Ed.D., is one of the world’s leading authorities on human performance in time-constrained, error-intolerant environments, and has lectured on the subject around the globe for nearly two decades.



Kern is the founding partner and CEO of Convergent Performance LLC, a small business, veteran-owned, think-tank located in Colorado Springs, Colo., dedicated to reducing human error and improving performance in high-risk environments such as aviation, military operations, surgical teams, law enforcement and firefighting.



Kern has authored seven books on human performance, including the award-winning “Plane of Excellence” trilogy, and the “Empowered Accountability” series that includes “Blue Threat: Why to Err is Inhuman” and “Going Pro: The Deliberate Practice of Professionalism.”



Kern has received multiple awards for his research, program management, speaking, writing and leadership.



Shane A. Yount is a nationally recognized author, speaker and principal of Competitive Solutions Inc., an international business transformation consulting firm that pioneered the acclaimed organizational development system known as Process Based Leadership — a business transformation methodology designed to create a sustainable culture of clarity, connectivity and consistency through the use of non-negotiable business processes.



Since 1991 Yount has led the offices of Competitive Solutions Inc. (CSI) in becoming one of the nation’s most recognized business transformation consulting firms, personally working with such organizations as the U.S. Department of Defense, Glaxo Smith Kline, Lockheed Martin, Michelin, Pfizer, and others.
