Kennametal Aerospace Machining Symposium to Showcase Industry and Technical Trends

LATROBE, PA - To keep abreast of business and technical trends in the rapidly changing aerospace market, Kennametal is hosting an Aerospace Machining Symposium, February 7 and 8 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza in Westlake Village, CA.

Aviation industry expert Richard Aboulafia, vice president of analysis at Teal Group Corporation, will deliver opening remarks on the future of the aerospace industry. He will be joined by presenters from such aerospace and manufacturing technology leaders as Boeing, Novator, Kennametal, Extrude Hone, and Mazak to cover the latest in such topics as advanced materials, machining technologies, new tooling capabilities, and outsourcing to developing markets.

"This is an outstanding opportunity for registrants to obtain and share best practices on how best to handle growing demands from the industry," says Francois Gau, Aerospace and Defense manager at Kennametal. "Higher production volumes at lower costs, increased speed of development to manufacturing, and introduction of new materials such as advanced titanium alloys or composite fiber all will be on the program."
There is no charge for the symposium, but seating is limited and registrants must respond by January 10, 2007, to reserve their place and receive an agenda. Interested attendees should respond with full contact information to Francois Gau via email at francois.gau@kennametal.com or via fax at 724/539-5022.
