Ken Hulik Joins GZA GeoEnvironmental as Associate Principal
LIVONIA, MI AND NORWOOD, MA ISSUED NOVEMBER 15, 2006... GeoEnvironmental Inc., one of the area's leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firms, has announced that Ken Hulik has joined the company as an Associate Principal.
In his new role with GZA Hulik will focus on industrial hygiene; toxicology; environmental compliance; environmental management systems; design for the environment; occupational and non-occupational health and safety; ergonomics; chemical risk management; regulations and standards; loss prevention and due diligence.
A native of Detroit, Hulik most recently worked as consultant in the areas of legal practice, medicine, environment, health and safety and served as the Director of the Office of Academic Development for Macomb Community College in Warren MI. His experience includes a 26 year career with General Motors Corporation where he served as the Director of Global Health and Safety.
Hulik earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Biology from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He was recognized as a GM "Safety Fellow" and was the GM "Chairman's Honors" award recipient. He is a past Board of Trustees member of the Occupational Environmental Health Foundation of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the recipient of the Automotive Industry Action Group's "Outstanding Achievement Award. He is the founder and chair of the Automotive Industry Action Group Health and Safety Committee and a member of the Organization Resource Counselors Executive, International and Domestic Committees. Hulik is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the American Industry Hygiene Association. A resident of Canton Township MI, Hulik volunteers with the Plymouth Canton School System.
