Kavlico Publishes 'Pressure Sensor Checklist' in Design World Magazine

Moorpark, CA-Kavlico, a global business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST) published "10 reasons to use a... Pressure Sensor Checklist" in the November issue of Design World Magazine. Co-authored by two of Kavlico's finest; Steve Smith, Director of Transportation Sales, Western Region & Asia and Gary Casey, Director of Product Development, Transportation, the article is a "How to Guide" for selecting pressure sensors that meet the end-users application.

The checklist highlights ten significant factors one should review prior to deciding upon the type of pressure sensor to design into the end-use application. The Pressure Sensor "pre-flight" Checklist should include:

1. Pressure range
2. Type of pressure to be measured
3. Media to be measured
4. Housing material
5. Pressure port
6. Electrical connector
7. Sensor output
8. Seal material
9. Accuracy
10. Supply voltage

It is vital to make sure that each of the above parameters is understood and specified correctly to ensure that the sensor selected and ultimately purchased and installed is the right sensor for the application. For those who are looking for some useful guidelines to assist with selecting pressure sensors, check out the Pressure Sensor Checklist.
