Jim Scott Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

ALCESTER, S.D. - The Cleaning Equipment Trade Association (CETA) recently honored Jim Scott of Alkota Cleaning Systems, Inc. with the pressure washing industry's most prestigious honor. Scott was given the Lifetime Achievement Award during PowerClean 2007, the association's convention and tradeshow recently held in Orlando, Fla.

Scott has worked in the industry for 45 years getting his start at Electro-Magic delivering parts from the stock room to the assembly lines. Working his way up through the company, Scott eventually led the company's customer service department. That's the role he played until 1983 when he and six other Electro-Magic employees bought the assets of Alkota Manufacturing Co., Inc. and created Alkota Cleaning Systems. Scott has served as a regional sales manager and now works as the company's marketing manager.

"Everyone in the Alkota family congratulates Jim for this significant recognition," said Gary Scott, president of Alkota Cleaning Systems. "Jim believes professionals who pursue their passion, build skills and strive to serve customers will find career and life success. This award recognizes his own career and life success."

Founded in 1964, Alkota Cleaning Systems, Inc. has 104 employees at their facilities in Alcester, South Dakota and Siloam Springs, Arkansas. They combine old-fashioned values with state-of-the-art technology to create the industry's finest cleaning systems.
