James CRAFT & Son Apprentice Takes First Place in Competition


YORK HAVEN, Pennsylvania (April 20, 2011) - James CRAFT & Son, Inc. is proud to announce that William English, Chambersburg, Pa., took first place in the 2011 Associated Builders and Contractors Construction Craft Competition held in Hagerstown, Maryland.

In this more than 20-year-old competition, students of apprenticeship programs compete to demonstrate their knowledge of their trade in electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); and plumbing. English won the HVAC division and was awarded a $250 cash prize.

English has completed a four-year HVAC apprenticeship with James CRAFT & Son, and has been hired as an HVAC service technician.

The ABC is a national trade association with 75 chapters representing 23,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms with nearly two million employees. More information can be found at www.abc.org.
